The problem is that since 2022, Apple has not accepted settings from Russian operators for smartphones.
Don’t be in a hurry to worry – in fact, the company has not deprived us of the ability to distribute the Internet in “modem mode”. To return the usual tab, you need to perform a couple of simple manipulations.
The whole secret is in the APN settings. Now they need to be entered manually.
- Go to “Settings”
- Go to the “Cellular” tab
- Then you need to select the SIM card and open the “Cellular data network” window.
- After that, scroll down to the “Modem Mode” section.
Here you need to be careful. There are different settings for different mobile operators:
MTS
- APN: internet.mts.ru
- Username: mts
- Password: mts
“Megaphone”
- APN: internet
- Username: gdata
- Password: gdata
Yota
- APN: internet.yota
“Beeline”
- APN: internet.beeline.ru
- Username: beeline
- Password: beeline

- APN: internet.tele2.ru
“T-Mobile”
- APN: m.tinkoff.ru
The data must be entered both in “Cellular data” and in “LTE settings”.
After these manipulations, the familiar “Modem mode” function will appear in the settings. The Internet can be distributed as usual. The most important thing is not to forget to protect your mobile hotspot with a reliable password. But we have already talked about this earlier.
